We are recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Littlehampton supporting primary and secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This specialist setting provides a nurturing and supportive environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With small class sizes, a personalised approach to learning and a strong focus on wellbeing, staff work together to help young people build confidence, resilience and positive outcomes. Job Responsibility
Support pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and engagement in learning
Build strong relationships and act as a positive role model
Work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils succeed
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work or similar)
GCSE Maths and English (Required)
Right to work in UK or valid visa
Calm, patient and resilient approach
Strong communication skills and a passion for helping others
