In this role, you will be working closely with pupils who require additional support to access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment. Job Responsibility
Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with a range of SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, or Severe Learning Difficulties)
Assist the classroom teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailoring learning resources
Provide personal care support with dignity and respect, including assistance with toileting, feeding, and mobility where required
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages independence and boosts self-esteem
Manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively using positive reinforcement strategies
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or adults with SEN
Comfortable and willing to undertake personal care duties
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A calm, patient, and resilient nature with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
