Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of young people who face significant barriers to learning? Our school in Horley is a specialised provision dedicated to nurturing independent learners and preparing them for a successful transition into adult life. We cater to up to 50 students who possess Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). We are deeply dedicated to our vision of 'nurturing independent learners who are prepared for adult life.' The majority of our learners have complex needs. You will be supporting students with: SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), Autism (ASC), Associated Needs: ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, Oppositional Defiance, and Attachment Disorders. As an SEN TA, you will provide critical learning and educational interventions tailored to individual EHCPs.
Job Responsibility:
Delivering targeted support that aligns with specific learning goals
Providing a grounded, nurturing presence to help students navigate social and emotional challenges
Encouraging students to develop the practical skills necessary for life beyond education
Working within a team referred by Surrey County Council and other local authorities to ensure holistic student care
