Job Responsibility:
Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons perfectly tailored to student's unique SEN requirements, ensuring every learner achieves their potential
Implement both formal and continuous informal assessments to accurately monitor student attainment and utilise this vital data to refine your teaching methods
Adapt and modify educational materials and learning environments to guarantee complete accessibility for all students
Work closely with support staff (TAs), families, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for each child
Cultivate and maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming classroom culture, expertly managing behaviour to promote an optimal learning environment
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory
Significant, proven experience instructing pupils with varied special educational needs within the UK education system
A current, clear Enhanced DBS certificate (or readiness to swiftly obtain one)
Comprehensive understanding of SEN frameworks, successful intervention strategies, and contemporary educational best practices
Demonstrated qualities of resilience, patience, strong initiative, and effective classroom management
