We are a specialist school in West Sussex catering to boys aged 5 to 11 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), including Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD. We believe that, given the right environment and support, every child can flourish. We do not aim to replicate a mainstream school approach; instead, we consider exactly what our particular pupils need to achieve their full potential. Our Guiding Principles: Our school culture is built on a foundation of empathy and specialised support. Confidence: Many of our pupils arrive with low self-esteem. We focus on finding and celebrating each child's unique gifts-whether sporting, artistic, or musical-to help them feel valued and ready to learn. Respect: Regardless of a child's behaviour, our staff engage in a respectful manner. We model the respect we want our pupils to eventually feel for themselves and others. Holistic Approach: We support the 'whole child' by working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Art Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Mental Health workers. Individuality: No two pupils have the same needs. From movement breaks and fidget toys to personalised learning spaces, we adapt our environment to the individual. Safeguarding: We are committed to ensuring our pupils not only are safe but feel safe, collaborating closely with parents and utilising a curriculum designed to empower students.
