Job Description:

Your patience is their progress. Join our team as an SEND Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting students with a range of learning, physical, and behavioural needs. You'll work closely with Teachers and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping each student reach their full potential.

Job Responsibility:

  • 1:1 and small group support: Assist students with their academic and personal development
  • IEP implementation: Help deliver individualised education plans and track student progress
  • Behavioural management: Use positive reinforcement and strategies to support students' emotional and social needs
  • Collaboration: Work with teachers, parents, and therapists to ensure a holistic approach to student support
  • Classroom assistance: Help prepare materials and maintain a safe, stimulating learning space

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, especially those with SEN
  • Child DBS on update service
  • A strong understanding of different learning styles and developmental stages
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to be adaptable and resilient in a dynamic environment
