Job Responsibility

  • Lead and coordinate the provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across the infant school
  • Ensure that children with additional needs receive appropriate support to help them achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally
  • Work closely with the staff, parents/carers, external agencies, and school leadership to promote inclusive practice and ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice

Requirements

  • Qualified and experienced teacher with the NASENCO qualification or Npq senco
  • Strong understanding of SEND provision and inclusive practice within a primary or infant school setting
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience of supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
  • A passion for ensuring every child achieves their full potential
  • A caring, proactive, and solution-focused approach
