A unique opportunity to join and lead our exceptional SEND team who are passionate about supporting our young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Our students are kind, funny and have huge potential; for the right candidate Oasis Academy Brislington is an incredibly rewarding place to work. Oasis Academy Brislington are seeking to recruit an experienced and qualified SENDCo to work alongside the senior leadership team and ensure the effective deployment of SEND support for all of our SEND learners. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner and have a secure understanding of pedagogy so that they are able to inspire and coach others to deliver inclusive-high quality teaching in all classrooms. You will be passionate about providing holistic support to students including learning support, emotional and well-being support and communication and interaction support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead our exceptional SEND team

  • Experienced and qualified SENDCo

  • Oversee the learner journey for those with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and/or high needs from their transition to college and at the end of their journey in preparing for next steps
  • Work alongside curriculum teams to break down barriers and ensure learners are able to achieve successful outcomes both academically and socially
  • Ensure effective relationships with schools and local authorities are maintained
  • Oversee tracking and funding systems with regards to EHCP and high needs learners
