Completed and submitted BVSD on-line application
Must meet READ Act requirements for literacy instruction

Job Responsibility

Provide specialized instruction and research based intervention in academics, behavior, social emotional learning, and executive functioning
Implementation of IEP services and behavior plans
Manage and direct paraprofessional and/or volunteers
Develop and implement IEPs for each student, monitoring compliance dates
Complete progress monitoring and coordinate progress reports
Collect and analyze data using multiple assessment tools for evaluations
Collaborate with families, general education staff, paraprofessionals, and service providers
Consultation in the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) schoolwide process
Create and foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
Create and support a culture of equity and inclusion

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Proven experience or strong training emphasis in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Ability to design and implement differentiated learning plans for diverse needs
Knowledge and experience teaching pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including: Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Needs (PMLD), Autism (ASC/ASD)
