Special Education Resource Teacher-Moderate Needs

• Provide specialized instruction and research based intervention in the areas of academics, behavior, social emotional learning, and executive functioning
• Implementation of IEP services and behavior plans
• Manage the implementation of IEPs for students on assigned caseloads
• Develop and implement an IEP for each student on the caseload
• Coordinate all IEP meetings
• Complete progress monitoring and coordinate progress reports
• Collect and analyze data using multiple assessment tools
• Collaborate with families, general education staff, paraprofessionals, and service providers
• Create and foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
• Create and support a culture of equity and inclusion
• Develop positive relationships with parents/families
• Exhibit a growth mindset through participation in high quality professional learning

• Bachelor's degree
• Must have a Colorado Teaching license with a Special Education Generalist or Special Education Specialist endorsement (former moderate license accepted)
• Completed and submitted BVSD online application
