Job Description:

The Special Education Instructor is responsible for providing instructional programs for students with disabilities, supporting them in developing the skills needed to successfully transition to the next phase of life. This role includes coordinating the development of an IEPs for each student assigned. Creates a positive supervising relationship with paraprofessionals and communicates the daily expectations for the students programming. In this role, you will foster positive relationships with students, families, community members, and colleagues while maintaining professionalism. Additionally, you will remain current in your field through ongoing professional growth and collaboration, communicate regularly with parents and staff, and contribute to building- and district-level meetings. Dependable attendance, supervisory responsibilities, and other assigned duties are also key components of this position.
