A leading Am Law 100 firm is seeking a Special Counsel // Insurance(Re) with 6+ years of experience to join its Litigation team in New York. The role offers significant responsibility and the opportunity to work on complex insurance and reinsurance disputes within a commercially focused, results-driven practice.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work on complex insurance and reinsurance disputes
  • Handle high-stakes matters spanning pretrial strategy, discovery, trial and appellate work
  • Emphasis on arbitration proceedings
  • Draft complex submissions
  • Prepare witnesses
  • Manage expert discovery
  • Play an active role in trial and arbitral advocacy

Requirements:

  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admitted or eligible for admission in NY
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Experience in complex litigation
  • Insurance or reinsurance background is preferred
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage demanding clients and competing priorities
