Job Responsibility:
Conducting complex criminal investigations into financial crimes
Providing physical protection for the President, Vice President, their families, visiting foreign dignitaries, and other protectees
Designing, planning, and implementing advanced security measures for National Special Security Events (NSSEs)
Requirements:
U.S. citizenship
Possess a current valid driver's license
Must be REAL ID compliant
Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral
Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing
Obtain and retain a Top-Secret Clearance
Automatic credit check required
Carry and use a firearm
Complete intensive 13-week training at FLETC in Glynco, GA
Complete specialized 18-week training at James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD
Sign a mobility agreement for assignments anywhere within the U.S. and overseas
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must certify Selective Service registration
Uncorrected vision of at least 20/100, correctable to 20/20 in each eye
Hearing loss not exceeding 25 decibels in specified ranges
Must be minimally qualified for GL-07, GL-09, or GS-11 levels based on education and/or specialized experience
Must successfully pass Phase I assessments (NCIC, SAEE, APAT, Interview)
Must successfully pass Phase II assessments (Credit Check, Security Interview, Polygraph, Drug screening, Medical exam, Background investigation)
Must pass Applicant Physical Abilities Test (APAT)
Must meet general medical requirements for moderate to arduous physical exertion
