Job Description

Are you a master multitasker with a knack for technical parts and a passion for great customer service? We are seeking a high-energy Spare Parts Sales Assistant to join our client’s fast-paced team. In this dynamic role, you will act as the critical link between the customers, workshop technicians, and the components needed to keep mowing and outdoor power equipment running perfectly. From assisting residential homeowners to supporting the extensive commercial client fleets, no two days will be the same. You will manage busy front counter traffic, answer phone inquiries, navigate electronic parts catalogs, and coordinate crucial service workshop bookings.

Job Responsibility

  • Efficiently manage a busy front counter, balancing walk-in customers and incoming phone inquiries
  • take workshop bookings over the phone and in-person, gathering accurate equipment issue details
  • provide fast-paced, reliable service to commercial clients
  • navigate electronic parts catalogs (EPCs) and technical manuals to locate exact components for commercial ride-on mowers, tractors, and small engines
  • unload incoming shipments, cross-reference packing slips, organize stock, and prioritize supplying parts to internal technicians
  • maintain clean, well-stocked point-of-sale displays for high-turnover items

Requirements

  • Prior spare parts knowledge in automotive, agricultural, or outdoor power equipment
  • strong foundational parts knowledge/technical aptitude combined with proven customer-facing experience in a fast-paced retail or busy call center environment
  • ability to keep a cool head under pressure, prioritize effectively, and manage workflow
  • strong ability to read mechanical schematics and parts breakdowns
  • familiarity with commercial mowing brands (e.g., Toro, John Deere, Kubota, Hustler, Scag) or small engine mechanics
  • proficiency with service booking software, electronic inventory systems, catalogs, and POS systems
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • strong verbal communication
  • professional, patient phone manner
  • able to stand for most of the day and safely lift/move equipment parts boxes weighing up to 20kg

  • Prepares and sends the order confirmations to Customer including the price, delivery dates, delivery terms, payment terms
  • Support Customer in the identification of part numbers using a spare parts manual, 3D drawing, or a schematic
  • Performs a proactive follow up of open orders and coordinates with the Logistic team to arrange shipments
