Job Description:

Cricket eLearning seeks passionate and experienced Spanish Language Instructors in the Washington, DC area who can maintain a part-time, in-person contract teaching assignment for the 2025-2026 academic school year. As a Cricket eLearning instructor, you will teach learners in person and have the opportunity to teach remotely, leveraging your creativity to maintain high levels of motivation with all learners. The in-person schedule will be pre-determined (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-5 p.m. ET) and a commitment you will maintain for the duration of the 2025-2026 academic school year. The online schedule is completely up to you. You will have the flexibility to select time slots for remote instruction that best suit your schedule (as many as you’d like).

Job Responsibility:

  • For in-person assignments, collaborate with Cricket eLearning to maintain a class schedule for the 2025-2026 academic school (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-5 p.m. ET)
  • For remote assignments, collaborate with Cricket eLearning to maintain availability to teach remotely to individual learners or small groups online
  • Familiarize yourself with language-learning teaching modules and supplement the provided materials with additional recommended resources personalized to your learners’ needs and interests
  • Document all lessons, assignments, and learners’ progress
  • Share student updates and progress reports with authorized Cricket eLearning staff
  • Deliver exceptional learning experiences and outcomes for all learners
  • Monitor and encourage student activity, motivation, and progress
  • Communicate in a clear, timely, and service-oriented manner
  • Maintain excellent professionalism, strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain a practical in-person schedule in collaboration with Cricket eLearning for the duration of the 2025-2026 academic school year
  • Subject-matter expertise required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Previous online teaching experience
  • Experience developing/building/editing curriculum preferred
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Computer, webcam, and microphone with reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Comfort and proficiency with technology and eagerness to experiment with new tools
  • Enthusiastic, open-minded, “can-do” attitude
  • Compassionate, confident, and respectful leader
  • Efficient time management
  • Outstanding critical-thinking abilities
  • Must submit to a Criminal Background Screening
