Robert Half is partnering with a large financial institution that is in search of a skilled Spanish Language Attorney to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This is a fully remote role where you can work from anywhere in the United States. Hours will be flexible and as needed by the client, with some weeks being very minimal and other weeks ramping to 40+ hours. This role requires an expert in legal Spanish who can accurately translate and review legal documents, ensuring they maintain the original intent and meaning. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality legal translations and reviews in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Translate legal documents from Spanish to English, ensuring precision and alignment with the original intent
  • Review and validate translated documents to guarantee accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage review requests and meet established deadlines
  • Handle approximately 10-20 document review requests weekly, adhering to service level agreements
  • Maintain high standards of quality for translations, ensuring no content is overlooked
  • Provide expert guidance on nuanced legal language in Spanish translations
  • Ensure timely delivery of translations for documents of varying lengths, from one-page files to larger legal texts
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify translation requirements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Support complaint handling related to document translations and reviews

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of prior Spanish Language legal work, with fluency in both English and Spanish
  • Proven experience in translating and reviewing legal documents
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in translations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines consistently
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with handling complaints and resolving translation-related issues
  • Experience working in a legal or corporate environment
  • Knowledge of legal processes and terminology in both English and Spanish
