We are looking for a skilled Spanish Language Attorney to support our corporate client on a long-term contract basis. This fully remote position offers flexible hours, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to high-quality legal translations and reviews. As part of this role, you will leverage your expertise in legal Spanish to ensure the accuracy and integrity of translated documents, supporting critical business needs in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Translate legal documents from Spanish to English with precision, ensuring the original meaning and intent are preserved
  • Conduct thorough reviews of translated materials to verify accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate document review requests and meet deadlines
  • Manage approximately 10-20 document translation requests per week, adhering to quality standards
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality translations for documents of varying lengths and complexities
  • Provide expert advice on complex legal terminology and nuances in Spanish translations
  • Communicate with stakeholders to clarify translation needs and address discrepancies
  • Assist in resolving complaints related to document translations and reviews
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail to ensure no critical content is missed during translation
  • Adapt to fluctuating workloads, with some weeks requiring minimal hours and others ramping up to over 40 hours

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Spanish-language legal work with a focus on detail-oriented tasks
  • Full fluency in both Spanish and English, with proven expertise in translating legal documents
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of translations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and consistently meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Experience in addressing complaints and resolving translation-related issues
  • Familiarity with legal processes and terminology in both Spanish and English
  • Previous experience in a legal or corporate setting
