We are looking for a Spanish Bilingual Human Resources/Payroll Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois in a Contract to Permanent capacity. This role blends payroll processing with core human resources support, ensuring employees are paid accurately while personnel records, onboarding activities, and compliance documentation are managed with care. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting a fast-paced workforce while delivering responsive service to employees and leadership.
Job Responsibility
Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule while maintaining reliable timekeeping and attendance data
Manage employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, status changes, personnel file updates, and offboarding documentation
Coordinate orientation sessions for new employees to help them understand workplace policies, benefits, and expectations
Administer employee benefits and help ensure programs are applied consistently and in accordance with company guidelines
Maintain HR records and support compliance with required employment documentation, including I-9 forms, workers’ compensation files, and other regulatory materials
Prepare attendance and workforce reports for management by tracking associate records and identifying relevant trends or discrepancies
Partner with staff and leadership to organize meetings and communication sessions that reinforce company policies and operational practices
Support the rollout and day-to-day administration of HR policies, procedures, training initiatives, performance reviews, and employee feedback programs
Respond promptly to employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues, including support for corrective action processes when needed
Requirements
Demonstrated experience processing full-cycle payroll in a high-volume environment
Background handling multi-state payroll and maintaining accuracy across varying pay and labor requirements
Proficiency with payroll and HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now and timekeeping platforms
Working knowledge of HR administration, including onboarding, employee records management, and policy support
Familiarity with leave and compliance requirements, including FMLA, OSHA, I-9 documentation, and workers’ compensation processes
Ability to manage sensitive employee information with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
Experience supporting disciplinary action processes and employee relations matters in alignment with company policy
