Job Description:

The Manager of Space Planning and Category Analytics is responsible for optimizing retail space utilization and providing actionable insights through detailed category analysis. This role involves developing space plans, analyzing sales and category performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product placement and drive sales growth. The Manager will leverage data to inform strategic decisions and ensure the efficient use of retail space.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain detailed floor and fixture plans that maximize space efficiency and enhance the shopping experience
  • Collaborate with visual merchandising and store operations teams to implement effective space planning solutions
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure adherence to space planning guidelines and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Adapt space plans to reflect new product introductions, seasonal changes, and promotional events
  • Analyze category performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Provide insights and recommendations to category managers and merchandising teams based on data analysis
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, margins, and inventory levels for various categories
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to support category management decisions
  • Work closely with category managers, buyers, and marketing teams to align space planning and category strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in space planning, category management, or retail analytics
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
  • Proficiency in space planning and category management software (e.g., JDA, Spaceman, Nielsen, IRI)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
