Spa Therapist Job at Lush (Cardiff)

Job Description

As a LUSH Spa Therapist, you'll be responsible for delivering our range of unique and therapeutic spa treatments to our customers. You'll create a calming and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring each client feels pampered and rejuvenated. You'll also play a key role in promoting the spa and its offerings, acting as a brand ambassador for LUSH.

Job Responsibility

Deliver a variety of spa treatments to the highest standard, ensuring client comfort and satisfaction at all times
Maintain a thorough knowledge of all treatments offered, including contraindications, benefits, and aftercare advice
Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both clients and colleagues
Be punctual and reliable, ensuring clients are seen on time and their treatment journey flows smoothly
Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for every client
Build rapport with clients, actively listening to their needs and preferences to personalise their experience
Offer expert advice on Lush products and treatments, recommending suitable options based on individual needs
Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally and empathetically
Work collaboratively with the spa teams to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the spa
Communicate effectively with colleagues, sharing information and providing support as needed
Participate in team meetings and training sessions, contributing to the ongoing development of the spa
Actively promote spa treatments and products to clients, upselling add-on treatments and retail items where appropriate
Support the spa in achieving its business goals by driving awareness and encouraging bookings
Participate in promotional activities and events, representing the spa and the LUSH brand positively
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of LUSH products and their benefits, confidently recommending suitable options to clients
Stay up-to-date on new product launches, treatment updates, and company initiatives
Participate in product knowledge training and actively seek opportunities to expand your expertise
Take responsibility for your own professional development, seeking out opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Actively participate in training sessions and performance reviews, utilising feedback to improve your performance
Learn new treatments and techniques to expand your repertoire and offer a wider range of services to clients
When not performing treatments, provide support to the shop floor team, acting as an extension of the spa
Engage with customers on the shop floor, offering consultations and promoting spa treatments and products
Utilise time on the shop floor as a learning opportunity, observing colleagues, and expanding your product knowledge
Act as a brand ambassador for Lush, embodying the company's values and commitment to ethical and sustainable practices
Share your passion for Lush products and treatments with clients, inspiring them to discover the benefits of natural ingredients and handcrafted products
Participate in company-wide initiatives and campaigns, promoting the Lush brand and its ethical values

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy or equivalent in Holistic Therapy, which includes full-body massage
Availability to include Fridays and at least one weekend day
At least 1 year of practical work experience within a similar role and location performing body massages and facials
Excellent customer service and treatments
Passionate about representing the LUSH brand, ethics and products both on the shop floor and in the Spa
