Job Description:

The Four Seasons Resort Maldives is currently looking for Spa Therapist who shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about creating memorable guest experiences. Spa Therapist is part of a diverse and dynamic team which provides award winning service to our valued guests. This position reports to the Senior Director of Spa. A Maldivian work permit will be provided by the resort.

Job Responsibility:

  • Is directly responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of work
  • Assists his/her supervisor in executing the day to day operational requirements
  • Assumes training responsibilities when required
  • Attends all scheduled training sessions
  • Actively offers operational, employee and customer related feedback to management
  • Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers
  • Provides professional treatments including massage, facial treatments and body treatments
  • Determines guest needs and preferences by asking pertinent questions
  • Possesses a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills
  • Handles guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism
  • Has a thorough understanding of all services including benefits, indications & contraindications for each of the treatments
  • Sets-up and maintains spa treatment rooms in an immaculate manner
  • Performs retail transactions
  • Takes guest bookings for Spa services by voice or correspondence
  • Maintains guest history records
  • Conducts facility tours
  • Follow up on Engineering Requests
  • Adheres to the hotel's code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards
  • Actively participates in briefings and meetings
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area
  • Is proficient in the use of the reservations software
  • Reads and update the daily log
  • Identifies and reports facility maintenance issues and equipment related problems immediately to manager
  • Prepare & serve spa drinks & maintain highest level of hygiene

Requirements:

  • Has 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in Spa therapy or Spa Reception
  • Passed O-levels
  • Possesses excellent English, math and psychometric abilities
  • Possesses aptitude and upward mobility
  • Technical education in physiotherapy, massage or holistic treatments is preferred
  • Willing to conduct cross gender treatments
