The Spa Receptionist welcomes guests proactively and deals with all enquiries. Have a complete knowledge of the treatments, products and services offered and prices of these. assists with scheduling and maximises use of time within the treatment schedule. ensures that all operational procedures, codes of conduct and standards of appearance are observed according to guidelines laid down by operating guides.
Job Responsibility:
Provides a warm, friendly and professional welcome to all guests
Coordinates guest’s lifestyle assessment with the therapists
Ensures that all relevant Spa employees receive a printout of guest lists or are party to important information
Adheres to an agreed reporting system on a timely basis
Responsible for all billing procedures at the reception desk and the correct reconciliation of funds at the close of each shift and at the end of the day’s work
Completes daily opening and closing procedures as per operating checklists
Schedules reservations of Spa services for guests and monitors availability of treatments and employees to ensure prompt service according to the relevant skills of the therapists
Organises scheduling to maximise use of time and profitability whilst ensuring that the client’s needs are met
Assists with administration duties such as purchasing, receiving and inventory reporting
Answers all phone, email and written enquiries before the end of each shift
Ensures the cleanliness of the Spa Reception area and overlook the fitness area, the locker rooms, the relaxation room and make sure that it is a welcoming space for guests to arrive to
If needed, Spa receptionist will tidy up the place when the attendants are busy
Aware of all relevant Health and Safety laws and conduct yourself in a manner that does not put you or any guests that you are assisting at risk
Responsible for preparing the Spa reception for the incoming shift and recording any information in the handover email
Ensures adequate supplies of Hotel and Spa literature so that guest enquiries can be dealt with straight away
Flexible within job role and perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Spa Manager or the Hotel Manager should they be deemed necessary
Requirements:
Holder of a university degree or equivalent
At least, one year of experience in luxury or five-star hotels
Has worked at the reception, and preferably at the Spa reception
Excellent communication skills
Time Management skills
A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent understanding of operating standards
Proficiency in English and Arabic, multilingual is preferred
Masters the different Microsoft programs, mainly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
