The Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Spa Manager. As the leader of the Spa team, the Spa Manager, works across the different disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience and provide leadership. The ideal person is one who is a well-known in aesthetic taste with the ability to give practical advice on creating a tasteful spa environment and translates that into eye for detail and crispness.
Job Responsibility:
Understands market trends and have a proven track record for collaborating with Directors of Marketing to put together sound business plans and supporting action steps
Ensures the training of the Spa staff to exceed standards
The ability to maintain operating criteria/spa concepts and be responsible for the coordination and scheduling of all Spa related services in relation to consistency with policies, philosophy and objectives for the Spa
Able to communicate on all levels with staff, colleagues and management and conveys clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale
Works closely with Engineering to maintain quality and mechanical operation of all Spa equipment
Oversees the cleanliness of the Spa and coordinate special requirements with Housekeeping, Laundry, and Engineering
Able to understand and implement emergency response procedures and respond properly in any hotel/ spa emergency to assure staff and guest safety
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Wellness Management, or related field preferred
Professional certification in Spa Management, Aesthetics, Cosmetology, or Wellness Therapy is an advantage
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in spa or wellness operations
At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a luxury or 5-star hotel environment
Strong knowledge of spa treatments, wellness therapies, and luxury service standards
Experience with spa booking and POS systems
Ability to manage budgets, P&L statements, inventory, and cost control
Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Deep understanding of luxury guest expectations and personalized service
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
High level of professionalism, grooming, and presentation
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations
Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language
Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia
Must have the right to work in Malaysia
Nice to have:
Professional certification in Spa Management, Aesthetics, Cosmetology, or Wellness Therapy is an advantage
