Job Description

The Spa Houseperson is responsible deep cleaning areas within the spa and outdoor pools neat, clean and well stocked with all amenities.

Job Responsibility

  • Clean treatment rooms and public spaces using a vacuum cleaner, broom, cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents
  • Empty trash throughout the spa, wiping down trash cans as needed
  • Pick up and restock towels, straighten chairs throughout the indoor and outdoor pool areas
  • Break down coffee and water stations after the spa and fitness center have closed
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the facility
  • Clean steam rooms and saunas nightly
  • Engage with guests and actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests and ensuring complete guest satisfaction
  • Possess ability to work without direct supervision
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management
  • Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards consistent with company standards

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or professional cleaning experience required
  • Minimum one-year experience providing customer service in a high-end fitness center or luxury spa environment, a plus
  • Excellent personal appearance, good communication skills and a friendly, congenial personality is a must
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure and focus on the guest
  • Must be flexible enough to work a variety shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays

Nice to have

Minimum one-year experience providing customer service in a high-end fitness center or luxury spa environment
