Job Responsibility
The Spa Director is in charge of a team that consists for lead therapists, therapists, attendants and coordinators
This leader establishes treatment protocols fur cutting edge spa treatments and massage therapies, conducts professional training, creates budgets, manages the Spa menu and leads by example
Creative problem-solving skills is a must
Administrative duties consist of but are not limited to payroll, team schedules and inventory amongst others
The Spa Director duties include but are not limited to oversee the Fitness, Pool, Spa & Retail operations of the Hotel
Manage and oversees The Spa, Fitness and Pool Departments and all they entail
Works with and supervises professional personnel such as Ayurvedic doctors, Herbalists, Medical Practitioners, etc
Maintain operating criteria/spa concepts and be responsible for the coordination and scheduling of all Spa & fitness related services in relation to consistency with policies, philosophy and objectives for the Spa
Convey clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale
Develop and enhance programs and policies to ensure employers of choice and retention of high performers and high potential Managers
Oversee the cleanliness of the Spa, pool and fitness as well as coordinating special requirements with Housekeeping, Laundry, and Engineering
Understand and implement emergency response procedures and respond properly in any hotel/ spa, pool & fitness emergency to assure staff and guest safety
Predict trends and implement for the good of the business
The ability to liaise with the Public Relations Department in order to promote the Spa, pool & fitness and all relevant treatments/philosophies
Strategically and proactively developing programs, marketing initiatives and promotions to increase revenue generating opportunities, enhance the guest experience, and increase the repeat guest base
Creating Wellness and Fitness experiences that align with guest interests and ability levels
Establishing beneficial partnerships with all product, equipment, and supply vendors that include competitive pricing, technical support, training programs and coop promotions
Schedule staff and complete payroll records and reports in accordance with budgeted guidelines
Responsible for the administration of goods, requisitions, inventories, storage and cost-effective usage of all department related materials and assets, according to standards to ensure for smooth operation
Issue recommendations regarding the annual operating budget, capital investment budget, operating planning and further periodic evaluations of financial performance, including reports on sales and operations with supporting statistical data
Promote growth through increasing revenue and daily operational efficiency while maintaining healthy spa morale
Requirements
5 Years of luxury hotel experience is preferred
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language is required
