Drive value across the soy complex by managing trading activities and building strong commercial relationships. As a Soy Merchandiser, you will focus on optimizing soy hull values while supporting broader trading efforts, including soybean meal execution. You will collaborate closely with commercial, operations, transportation, and trade teams to coordinate logistics, monitor market conditions, and ensure contracts are executed efficiently. Job Responsibility
Manage and execute the merchandising of the soy hull position while providing support for the broader soy complex products to maximize value for PAB crush network
Monitor positions, inventories, and commercial issues impacting internal and external customers
Coordinate closely with operations, trade execution, transportation, support services, hedge desk, and accounting to ensure efficient execution of contracts and reliable service to customers
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, both internally and externally
Execute routine merchandising functions including contract maintenance, pricing updates, position tracking, and coordination of trade execution activities
Collaborate with other internal merchandising teams to optimize the value of the soy complex and maximize trading opportunities for PAB
Provide market information and any critical updates to leadership to support commercial decision making
Support the development of new markets, customers, and opportunities as the soy complex portfolio expands
Prepare reports, forecasts, and market updates to support internal planning, commercial visibility, and management decision making
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance execution efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
2-5 years of experience in merchandising, trading, execution, logistics, or operations (preferably in Ag commodities or feed ingredients)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment
Desire to continuously improve and maximize margins while providing superior customer service to internal and external customers
Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively across teams
