Sous Chef position at The Curious Pig in Crawley. Part of the Barons Pub Company. The role involves leading and motivating a kitchen team to consistently produce great food, ensuring dishes are delivered to company specifications, and assisting the Head Chef in maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation. Job Responsibility:
Assist the Head Chef in providing exceptional food quality and presentation
Strive to ensure the kitchen is run professionally, profitably, efficiently and compliantly
Ensure kitchen team delivers meals to tight specifications
Requirements:
At least 2 years’ previous experience of working in high-volume kitchens as a Shift Leader/Duty Chef/Chef Manager
Ability to deliver dishes to company time standards and specification
Experience managing teams of up to 5 chefs/KPs on service
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Qualities to lead and motivate the team to consistently produce great food
Solid commitment to mentoring and developing teams
Keen eye for detail
