We’re looking for a talented Sous Chef to join The Botanist Bath, where creativity, teamwork and exceptional food come together to deliver memorable guest experiences. As Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef while ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and profitably. This is an opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys both hands-on cooking and kitchen management, and who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations
Ensure the kitchen runs efficiently, safely and profitably
Manage stock control, rotas, ordering and kitchen systems
Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
Help recruit, train and develop the kitchen team
Deliver high-quality dishes and consistent service standards
Collaborate with the Head Chef on food operations, guest experience and events
Lead by example to create a positive, high-performing kitchen culture
Requirements:
Previous Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie experience
Strong kitchen leadership and team management skills
Excellent knowledge of food safety, kitchen operations and stock control
A passion for delivering high-quality food and guest experiences
The ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
