At the Graduate Cambridge by Hilton, our restaurant, bar, terrace, and event spaces deliver vibrant riverside dining using fresh, seasonal ingredients. We’re now looking for a passionate and driven Sous Chef to support the kitchen leadership team and help deliver outstanding food experiences across the venue.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations
Leading kitchen sections during service and managing shifts when required
Ensuring food quality, flavour, and presentation meet brand standards
Training, mentoring, and developing chefs at all levels
Supporting menu development and seasonal updates
Managing stock control, ordering, and waste management
Maintaining excellent hygiene, food safety, and kitchen organisation
Working closely with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a quality-led kitchen
Strong cooking ability and leadership skills
Excellent organisation and calm approach under pressure
Financial awareness including stock and cost control
Passion for developing people and delivering exceptional hospitality
