We are looking for experienced Sous Chef to join the opening team at Morini Piccolo! This role is perfect for someone with experience in Kitchen management, and italian cuisine, looking to expand their resume. The ideal candidate has a consistent experience as a sous chef, and is passionate about hospitality and growth.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations
Lead and manage kitchen team members, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency
Execute and oversee all menu items with precision and adherence to Altamarea Group standards
Train, mentor, and develop BOH staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
Manage daily prep, service, and station organization
Maintain and enforce all food safety, sanitation, and DOH regulations
Assist in inventory management, ordering, and cost control (food cost, waste, etc.)
Ensure proper staffing levels and support scheduling need
Maintain a strong presence during service, leading by example on the line
Collaborate with FOH leadership to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
Uphold cleanliness, organization, and kitchen maintenance standards
Requirements:
Open availability with the ability to work flexible hours
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Line Cook ready to step into leadership
Background in high-volume or fine dining kitchens preferred
Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and pasta production preferred
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Positive attitude, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality
