Job Description:

Accountable for success of daily kitchen operations, culinary tasks, and food-related functions. Responsible for ensuring food quality standards, staff development, customer service, and compliance with food handling regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures
Estimates daily production needs and communicates these to kitchen personnel
Assists the Executive Chef with kitchen operations and preparation
Prepares and cooks foods regularly or for special occasions
Develops new culinary applications and creative presentations
Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and food preparation workers
Leads shifts and personally prepares food items
Encourages team collaboration, trust, and respect
Provides above-and-beyond services for customer satisfaction and retention
Handles guest feedback, complaints, and relations
Plans and achieves performance goals, budget goals, and team goals
Trains employees in safety procedures
Improves service by coaching and mentoring staff
Participates in staff performance appraisal
Attends and participates in meetings

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
