Job Description:

Sous Chef position at the newly opened Munich Marriott City West, responsible for implementing creativity and expertise across various F&B concepts including modern pizza & pasta cuisine, upscale fine dining, and large banquets/events

Job Responsibility:

Manage shifts independently
Support supervisors with administrative tasks
Guide and lead kitchen team effectively
Contribute to creative menu planning and cost calculations
Optimize productivity and efficiency
Work closely with service team during shifts
Oversee kitchen cleanliness and maintenance ensuring HACCP compliance
Assist with purchasing and ordering food and supplies
Develop kitchen team and train apprentices
Provide social media content for marketing team

Requirements:

Several years of professional experience in professional kitchens
Experience managing shifts independently
Valid work permit for Germany/EU
Creativity and enthusiasm for implementation
Professionalism and structure-conscious way of working
Strong awareness of quality and high standards
Communication talent with good German and/or English skills
Organizational knowledge and skills
Winning appearance, can-do attitude and hands-on mentality
Guest orientation and willingness to perform
Enthusiasm to share knowledge with team and trainees

Nice to have:

Social media content creation experience
Experience with Italian cuisine
Experience with fine dining
Experience with banquet and event catering
