Sous Chef The Pear Tree Wedding & Events Venue SN5 4ED £38,000 per annum plus bonus and hourly overtime Start date – May 2026 Artemis are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to work at our Pear tree venue in Purton. The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach demonstrating strong leadership, self-motivation, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A genuine passion for producing high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients is essential. The Pear Tree is situated in a 400-year-old former vicarage in the heart of Wiltshire.
Job Responsibility:
Ensuring high standards of food preparation and service are kept
Maintaining a clean environment
To follow our allergens policy and kitchen management package
Assisting the head chef with the management of the kitchen team
Daily ordering from suppliers
Day to day reporting to the Head chef and General Manager
Responding to emails
Management of Checkit
Requirements:
2 years’ experience in a similar position and used to providing for 100+ covers using fresh ingredients together with a strong background in food led establishments
A passion for cooking
A proven track record, with good references to support your CV
Kitchen management and Communication skills
Own transport is essential due to the location
Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the UK
