Job Description:

We currently have an amazing opportunity to join the team as Sous Chef. Located in the Grantown-on-Spey, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, the Craiglynne Hotel features 82 guestrooms, restaurant, bar, and conservatory. It’s position on Speyside makes it ideal for hikers trekking the Cairngorms, golfers wishing to play at one of the many nearby Championship courses, as well as whisky enthusiasts sampling the world’s only Malt Whisky Trail. Surrounded by immaculate gardens and views across of the neighbouring Cromdale Hills, the Craiglynne Hotel is located overlooking Grantown-on-Spey, just 12 miles from Aviemore Station and 33 miles from Inverness Airport.

Job Responsibility:

  • ensure that the preparation and presentation of the food is of a high standard, and complies with food safety regulations
  • supervising, training and motivating the team to achieve the highest standards
  • actively involved in menu planning, compilation and ordering in addition to ensuring that departmental budgets are controlled
  • ensuring high standards of quality control, handling and storage of commodities to current legislation, governing handling, storage and processing
  • actively ensure that dishes are produced to a consistent high standard
