The Sous Chef will take full responsibility for all food preparation and cooking on the estate, which operates as both a private family home and a high-end holiday let. This is a live-in position on a working estate requiring a strong work ethic and flexible attitude.
Job Responsibility:
Cooking breakfast and packed lunches for family and guests
Supporting and hosting dinner parties and served events
Overall management of the kitchen and food standards
Managing shopping, food ordering and kitchen supplies
Supporting the estate shoot lodge/boutique hotel when required
Maintaining the highest culinary standards for both private family use and high-end holiday lets
Managing changeovers and food preparation for guest arrivals
Assisting the wider estate team as required
Requirements:
Experience working within hospitality — Private Household, 5* Hotels, or B&B essential
Proven culinary skills at Sous Chef level or equivalent
UK Passport / Right to work in the UK
Valid driving licence
Dog friendly
First class references
Silver service experience (desirable)
