Xpert Resourcing are working with an established business in Cambridge who are looking to add an experienced Sous Chef to their busy and friendly team. We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating strong culinary skills. The successful candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role requires a commitment to food safety and a passion for delivering an outstanding dining experience.
Job Responsibility:
Work closely with the Head chef, coordinating food preparation activities to ensure timely service
Assist in menu planning and recipe creation
Ensure all food is prepared according to health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as and when needed
Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
Requirements:
Proven experience of working within a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
Nice to have:
Previous experience in menu development is advantageous
