Join TUI Hotels & Resorts as a Sous Chef where you will support the Head Chef in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel kitchen operations. Our Food & Beverage concept is one of our brand’s most signature elements; your role is to support, guide and inspire the kitchen team while consistently delivering high-quality culinary experiences for our hotel guests.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Head Chef in delivering excellent food experiences for hotel guests
Assist with the daily supervision and coordination of all kitchen operations to ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
Maintain a strong presence in the kitchen during service periods, ensuring quality, consistency and efficient workflow across all kitchen sections
Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, food safety standards and HACCP guidelines
Support the planning and preparation of menus, buffets and special events in line with brand standards and guest expectations
Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation to ensure consistency and minimise waste
Assist with stock control, ordering and inventory management to ensure adequate supplies while maintaining cost control
Support the training, coaching and development of kitchen team members to enhance performance and maintain high culinary standards
Work closely with the restaurant and wider Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth service delivery and strong interdepartmental collaboration
Ensure all kitchen equipment, work areas and storage facilities are maintained in a clean, safe and organised condition
Participate in team meetings, development conversations and performance discussions to support team engagement and operational improvement
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie within a hotel or high-volume kitchen environment
Completed vocational culinary qualification or relevant professional training
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and HACCP practices
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high quality standards
A proactive team player with strong organisational and communication skills
Physically resilient, adaptable and comfortable working flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
Fluent verbal and written German (C1) plus English (C2)
EU Citizen/Passport holder
