As this landmark property prepares to welcome guests, we are building a kitchen team to match the ambition of the setting. The Sous Chef will be the Head Chef's right hand — a calm, capable presence in the kitchen who leads by example, holds standards without compromise, and brings out the best in the team around them. This is not a conventional kitchen role. The culinary offering at this property is integral to the guest experience — thoughtful, rooted in quality and provenance, and reflective of the setting itself. The Sous Chef will play a central part in shaping and delivering that offering every day.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen operation
Leading the brigade on the pass and maintaining consistency of output
Contributing to menu development and seasonal planning
Upholding the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management
Developing and mentoring junior members of the team
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up
A background in a quality kitchen environment — luxury, fine dining, or country house experience is a distinct advantage
Strong leadership skills and the ability to run a service with confidence and composure
A genuine passion for food and an eye for detail that never switches off
Someone who takes pride in their craft and wants to be part of something exceptional from the ground up
