As a Junior Sous Chef, you will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to deliver high-quality dishes and consistent service. This role is ideal for an experienced Chef de Partie ready to take the next step, with a strong focus on leadership, organization, and maintaining exceptional food and hygiene standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
Lead kitchen sections and ensure smooth service during busy periods
Supervise, train, and motivate junior chefs and kitchen team members
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste
Step in to manage the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs
Contribute to menu development and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Certificate
Food Allergy and Intolerance Training Certificate
