Job Description:

Sous Chef position at Rabat Marriott Hotel responsible for leading banquet food preparation staff, coordinating catering events, ensuring high quality culinary standards, and managing day-to-day banquet kitchen operations while maintaining guest satisfaction and operating budget.

Job Responsibility:

  • Exhibit culinary talents while leading banquet food preparation staff
  • Assist in coordinating menus, purchasing, scheduling, food preparation and plating for catering events
  • Ensure high quality product with appetizing presentation
  • Maintain sanitation and food standards
  • Manage BEO process including menu development, pricing, tracking and ordering
  • Prepare and cook foods of all types
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers
  • Manage day-to-day banquet kitchen operations
  • Ensure compliance with Food & Beverage policies
  • Train and develop culinary staff

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 1 year experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
