Sous-Chef at a summer based restaurant located south of the City Visby on the island Gotland. Restaurant serves 200-300 lunch and about 100 dinners every day during high season. Period: START MIDDLE OF MAY 2026 TO THE END OF AUGUST 2026. Guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week over the whole contract period. Most likely higher. The peak season is July and first half of August when work is very intensive and easy be 60 hours per week. Mid May, month of June and last half of August the amount of hours are most likely less than 40 hours and more like part time.
Job Responsibility:
Sous-Chef at the kitchen, assisting main Chef including controlling the heat at the steak position
Among task includes to write mise en place and list of groceries to buy from management
Requirements:
English, communicative, spoken
Positive to physical work
Having good health condition (no back problems)
Experienced sous-chef
Experience in preparing steak with right temperature and controlling variations as to customers demands
Teamwork ability and possibility to work alone on occasion
Flexible person who is fit, social and communicative
Used to teamwork
Candidate have at least a handful of years previous experience and have worked at different locations
In the field as chef knows international cuisine and traditions
Candidate need full valid passport
Nice to have:
Swedish language is a plus (not compulsory)
