Job Description

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be the subject matter expert supporting JLL's sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and program management across both Integrated Facility Management (IFM) and Project Development Services/Small Projects LATAM client portfolio. This position is critical for building and implementing standardized and efficient sourcing processes that optimize current program operations. Your role will directly contribute to JLL's business objectives by ensuring operational excellence, corporate policy compliance, and effective management of critical supplier relationships while leading procurement initiatives for both operational services and capital projects across diverse market categories.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage all sourcing-related functions including performing due diligence and assessment of prospective suppliers, executing RFPs/bids, and ensuring effective transition to operations during implementation
  • Perform periodic market trend analysis in specific categories for both operational services (cleaning, security, maintenance) and project-related services (construction, fit-outs, renovations), analyzing supplier base and industry changes
  • Provide sourcing support for ongoing facility operations including janitorial, security, landscaping, maintenance, utilities, and other operational services for multi-site portfolios
  • Source and manage suppliers for capital improvement projects, tenant fit-outs, space renovations, and small construction projects typically under $300K
  • Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to ensure timely procurement of materials, contractors, and specialty services while supporting project-specific procurement needs
  • Ensure compliance with JLL's sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and ethics across both operational and project procurement activities
  • Establish relationships with Corporate Legal and Risk Management to ensure all contractual terms and conditions comply with standards for both service agreements and project contracts with formal review and approval processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and 3+ years strategic sourcing or related experience
  • Required experience with GMP (manufacturing) exposure within facility services and/or construction/project procurement
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and strong analytical ability with proven ability to lead teams in decentralized environments across both operational and project-based functions
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written – with ability to interface effectively with facility managers, project managers, contractors, and service providers
  • Must be located in Puerto Rico and be fluent (reading/writing/speaking) in English and Spanish
  • Excellent PC skills, proficient in MS Office applications and procurement/project management software platforms
  • Ability to proactively manage internal and external customer expectations while providing leadership in sourcing processes

Nice to have

  • IFM, project management and business experience with understanding of both operational service delivery and capital project execution
  • Experience with construction or project-based procurement strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards
  • Experience in vendor performance management for critical facility services and ensuring service level agreement compliance
  • Familiarity with JLL e-commerce procurement initiatives across both service and project categories
  • Experience in developing Sourcing Plans in accordance with client and company requirements
  • Ability to participate and provide leadership in Preferred Supplier performance review meetings for both operational service providers and project contractors
