We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Sourcing Specialist to serve as a critical link between our global supply chain partners and internal retail stakeholders. In this role, you will be the primary facilitator of production efficiency, ensuring that the journey from initial order to final product is seamless, cost-effective, and high-quality. You aren't just managing vendors; you are optimizing the engine of our retail business. By balancing the 'Triple Constraint' of quality, price, and speed-to-market, you ensure our merchants have the right products at the right time. Your ability to build respectful partnerships and manage meticulous data allows us to mitigate risks before they impact our bottom line.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in making data-driven recommendations for order placement by evaluating factory capacity, quality standards, competitive pricing, and lead times
Assist in assessing factory capabilities to ensure they align with product requirements and corporate standards
Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions and partner with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies and realize desired outcomes
Support the Sourcing Manager in price negotiations to achieve the best possible margins without compromising product integrity
Build and maintain positive, productive relationships with both overseas vendors and internal merchant teams
Practice active listening and engage in respectful, timely communication
ask critical questions to ensure clarity and alignment across the supply chain
Manage daily correspondence with overseas offices and agents, ensuring all parties are updated on production shifts or requirements
Keep the cross-functional team aligned with the 'Time and Action' calendar, working closely with Product Development to prevent delays
Perform rigorous weekly production tracking to guarantee 100% on-time delivery
Help ensure all new and existing vendors meet rigorous corporate compliance and ethical sourcing requirements
Execute heavy data entry and reporting. Mandatory proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) is required to manage complex production matrices
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional work experience
Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (pivots, VLOOKUPs, and data visualization)
Background in Production, Retail, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing preferred
Proven ability to communicate effectively and respectfully across diverse teams and international cultures
Strong ability to infer learnings from data and apply them to factory and price recommendations
