Alcoa is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to support procurement activities for demolition, remediation, and other transformation projects across our closed and curtailed locations. Central aspects of the role include but are not limited to: strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contractor management, and ensuring compliance with global procurement policies.
Job Responsibility:
Lead end‑to‑end procurement for assigned projects, including scope development, sourcing strategy, contractor shortlists, bid reviews, and award recommendations
Negotiate project‑specific and master agreements for demolition, remediation, abatement, environmental consulting, and related services
Manage contractor and supplier relationships, ensuring performance, issue resolution, and alignment with project needs
Track cost savings and avoidance opportunities
support quarterly project reviews and procurement forecasting
Coordinate with internal partners—including Legal, commodity managers, and environmental teams—to support project execution across multiple locations
Prioritize diverse procurement needs while implementing global procurement strategies and managing multi-million‑dollar agreements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of procurement experience, including negotiation and sourcing
Ability to work with virtual customers at various organization levels
Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder‑influencing skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with virtual, cross‑functional teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
Fluent/advanced English required
Nice to have:
Experience with Oracle EBS and DocuSign is a plus
Professional certifications (CPM, APICS, CIPS, PMP) preferred
