Waymo's Procurement and Vendor Enablement Office is a diverse, collaborative, and service-oriented group with a mission to efficiently procure indirect goods and services, build supplier relationships, and support outsourcing excellence. In this remote role, the Procurement CoE Program Manager, you will be the operational lead for our 'Source-to-Requisition' engine and the primary driver of our sourcing and contracting execution. You will sit at the intersection of business strategy, process optimization, and technology, ensuring that the path from identifying a need to cutting a Purchase Requisition (PR) is seamless, compliant, and data-driven.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage Sourcing & Contracting Operations: Serve as the operational lead for the end-to-end sourcing and contracting lifecycle
  • Optimize the Source-to-PR Lifecycle: Act as the process owner for the sourcing and requisitioning workflow
  • Orchestrate System Processes: Serve as the primary business owner for our procurement tech stack processes, specifically within SAP Ariba and Ironclad
  • Drive Spend Intelligence: Manage the Spend Cube operations
  • Lead Process Transformation: Analyze process performance metrics (cycle times, catalog adoption, touchless PRs) to design and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage Change & Governance: Maintain and govern the policies that control how Waymo buys

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Procurement Operations, Sourcing, or Supply Chain Systems, with a specific focus on the 'Source-to-Pay' or 'Source-to-Contract' lifecycle
  • Deep Technical Fluency: Expert-level knowledge of SAP Ariba (Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing modules) and Ironclad (CLM)
  • Data & Analytics Expertise: Proven experience managing Spend Cubes (e.g., SpendHQ, Sievo, or Ariba Spend Analysis)
  • Process Engineering: Demonstrated ability to map complex workflows and optimize them (Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience is a strong plus)
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Experience operating at a Senior Program Manager level, capable of influencing cross-functional stakeholders (Legal, FP&A, Engineering Leadership)
  • Operational Rigor: Experience building 'No-touch' or 'Low-touch' procurement channels (Catalogs, Guided Buying)

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a hyper-growth technology or automotive environment where speed and compliance must coexist
  • Experience leading a system implementation or major migration (e.g., legacy ERP to SAP S/4HANA)
  • Strong SQL or Tableau visualization skills to build self-service dashboards for process health monitoring
  • A background in Project Management (PMP) or Product Management applied to internal business tools
