Job Responsibility

  • Supplier Development & Sourcing – Identify and develop new suppliers globally or locally based on project requirements, with a focus on connectors and cable products
  • explore new materials and sourcing opportunities
  • Cost Management – Lead RFQ processes, including inquiry, negotiation, comparison, cost analysis, and pricing
  • drive achievement of target costs
  • Cost Optimization – Analyze wiring harness cost structures to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement
  • Negotiation & Agreements – Lead or participate in annual price reduction negotiations and sign framework agreements with suppliers
  • Supplier Performance – Establish supplier KPIs, conduct regular performance evaluations, and drive continuous improvement
  • New Product Development (NPD) Support – Collaborate closely with technical teams during NPD to ensure supplier understanding of specifications
  • provide early input from sourcing feasibility and cost perspectives
  • Market Intelligence – Monitor market price fluctuations and industry trends for key raw materials (e.g., copper, plastics)
  • assess and mitigate supply risks in a timely manner
  • Risk Mitigation – Develop and implement supplier alternative strategies, including localization initiatives, to reduce supply chain risks

Requirements

  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and understand customer technical specifications
  • Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Familiar with wire, terminal, and connector brands such as TE, APTIV, ITT, Souriau, etc., as well as relevant industry standards
  • Experience in the wiring harness industry is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cost analysis, quotation evaluation, negotiation techniques, and contract management
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and external negotiation skills, with the ability to clearly convey requirements and effectively resolve issues

Nice to have

Experience in the wiring harness industry is preferred
