Job Description:

We are seeking a highly efficient and specialised Sonographer for a high-volume, ongoing locum contract covering three clinical sites across the Leicester and Rutland area. This is an immediate start requirement for a professional capable of maintaining high standards of clinical accuracy within a fast-paced community environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage 4 to 5 scans per hour, allowing approximately 12–15 minutes per patient for both the scan and the reporting
  • Provide cover across three clinical sites (Leicester City Centre, Loughborough, and Uppingham)

Requirements:

  • General Ultrasound (including Lumps, Bumps, and Small Parts)
  • MSK (Musculoskeletal)
  • Gynae

  • avails themselves of individualized learning opportunities to stay current on new procedures, equipment or information
  • prepares/operates a variety of diagnostic ultrasound equipment in accordance with American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) standards and department protocols
  • operates ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the motion, shape and composition of blood, organs, tissues and bodily masses such as fluid accumulations
