Job Description:

Part-time Sonographer Trainee position in Vascular at High Point Medical Center. The role involves performing ultrasound examinations under supervision, adhering to hospital standards, scheduling procedures, maintaining records, preparing rooms, and participating in educational activities to ensure quality patient care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment
  • Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Performs or assists in performing quality ultrasound examinations in a timely and efficient manner while under the supervision and/or direction of a staff Sonographer
  • Schedules procedures and maintains appropriate records
  • Assists with room preparation and restocking of rooms and other departmental storage areas with supplies
  • Participates in educational activities to enhance patient care and quality of services provided
  • Ensures age/developmentally appropriate care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current enrollment in an AMA or CMA accredited program in diagnostic ultrasound required
  • CPR certification required
