Perform ultrasound guided invasive procedures. Opportunity to learn Fetal Echocardiography (FE) and earn Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) FE credential working alongside both fetal cardiologists and MFM specialists. The Perinatal Sonographer workload and workspace have been carefully designed to reduce the risk of work related injuries. Scanning 6-8 patients per day on average using premium GE Voluson ultrasound systems at all sites. Large, ergonomically designed ultrasound suites and workstations. As a Perinatal Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing low and high risk perinatal obstetric (OB) ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols. The Perinatal Sonographer should have special interest and expertise in prenatal diagnosis and OB ultrasound with the ability to recognize normal and pathological conditions and apply additional modalities as indicated (i.e. Doppler, 3D/4D).Additionally, the Perinatal Sonographer will obtain relevant history via EMR, image according to protocol, review cases with the care team, and generate preliminary reports using structured reporting software. Familiarity in recognizing and troubleshooting various imaging IT issues is required. You may also be required to perform other duties, as assigned.
