As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care. Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.
Job Responsibility:
Utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses
Directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans
Meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images
Monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort
Select and examine images for pathologies
Present preliminary findings to Physicians
Correlate clinical history with diagnostic study
Consult with referring physician regarding patient's previous history and decision of appropriate ultrasonic procedures
Consistently perform quality vascular ultrasound studies including non-invasive vascular testing independently involving carotid, arterial, and venous systems
Provide requesting physician with preliminary technical findings based on diagnostic criteria
Delineate normal from abnormal tissue and extend scope of study appropriately
Provide technical assistance for surgical biopsy and aspiration procedures
Practice aseptic techniques and utilize Universal Precautions
Prepare patients for ultrasound exam, explain procedure and ensure technical quality
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program or Radiologic Technology Program from an accredited institution
1 year related work experience
Have one of the following: RCES, RCS, RCS, RDMS, RDCS, RDCSAE, RDCSFE, RDCSPE, RDMSAB, RDMSBR, RDMSFE, RDMSNE, RDMSOB, RDMSPS, RTCT, RTR, RVS, RVT
Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
